Ekocloth

Ekocloth™ is the generic trade name of a series of polyester yarns, fabrics and garments, recycled from used plastic bottles and waste polyester fibre. Ekocloth™ has been awarded the Third Party certificate by the China Textile and Apparel Testing Centre. These unique filaments and staples can be made into various kinds of fabrics and garments. Fabric processing of Ekocloth™ is consistent with traditional methods for virgin polyester yarns. However, the quality of Ekocloth™ is as good and sometimes better than virgin polyester products.

Because Ekocloth™ is recycled, its manufacture consumes less energy than virgin polyester.
The production of 1 ton of Ekocloth™ uses 6 tons less fossil fuel than virgin polyester yarn. The result is much less pollution and an energy saving of 80%.
Because Ekocloth™ has a reduced need of dyes and fixing agents, its production emits far less carbon dioxide than virgin polyester yarns.
